Heating

Even Northwest Florida gets unexpected frigid Winter days and nights.  No need to freeze your buns off; Air Medics HVAC will know just what to do to get your heater back in working order.  We are familiar with all makes of furnaces and heat pumps, and know just what to do to get rid of those pesky issues such as no hot air, uneven air flow, strange sounds and smells, faulty thermostats, and more.

Duct Work

Your ducts are responsible for circulating warm or cool air from your HVAC system into your home.  Improperly sized or designed ductwork could result in an insufficiently working air conditioner that is also more costly to run. If it seems nearly impossible to get your home to reach and maintain your desired temperature, you could have leaky, old, damaged or improperly functioning ductwork.  This can often cause energy bills to soar.

Say no more and call Air Medics HVAC to inspect your ducts and get to the root of the cause and recommendations for repairs.

Dehumidifiers

Living in Northwest Florida, we know all too well the discomfort of a muggy, humid day.  High humidity levels contribute to a number of indoor air quality (IAQ) problems such as mold and mildew growth, and overall discomfort.  Dehumidifiers work to remove moisture from the air by pulling in air that runs through cooling coils which pull moisture from the air by lowering the temperature and causing condensation.  This condensation is the excess water that stores in your dehumidifier and should be discarded regularly.

If you want to sweat less, breathe easier and sleep better all the while helping your air conditioning system work more efficiently, a dehumidifier could be the solution for you!

Air Purifiers

Did you know that indoor air is significantly more polluted than outdoor air?  Indoor pollutant levels are often 2-5 times worse than outdoors, and sometimes as much as 100 times worse, according to the EPA.

Have you noticed allergies or asthma worsening, smells lingering longer in areas of the home, or increased dust building up in areas of the home?  You most likely have an Issue with indoor air quality (IAQ); our bodies are very sensitive to pollutants and simply don’t lie.  Bad indoor air quality comes from things like mold, mildew, dander, waste, radon, cleaning and cooking byproducts, and furnaces or water heaters  that burn poorly causing carbon monoxide.

IAQ is a growing problem due to buildings being built more air tight over the more recent years, so icky pollutants stick around longer than they used to in older leaky houses.

However, even in older leaky homes, pollutants can build up; more specifically in the seasons of the year when we don’t run our HVAC systems often, and our windows aren’t open.  Along with the use of more man made products in buildings, furniture, materials, carpets and cleaning products that just plainly weren’t used 50-60 years ago.

We proudly offer state-of-the-art air purifier systems such as the REME Halo when you’re looking for a solution to improve you and your family’s health & wellbeing.  The Halo system is mounted directly in your air ducts, near your coils, allowing air to be cleaned quickly and then distributed throughout the home.  This air is now ionized, sanitized and purified to be spread throughout; while giving you an ozone and mercury-free system.  This causes no negative impacts on airflow, performance, and only uses as small amount of energy.
